MCAA 2015 Field Leaders Conference

ROCKVILLE, MD – MCAA’s Management Methods Committee has released three new training manuals intended to help mechanical contractors plan and manage better projects – the release coming prior to next week’s 2015 MCAA Field Leaders Conference. The training manual releases include:

• Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) (JM 12), which examines a project management approach that involves all the parties involved in a project – including the owner – at the earliest possible stage to enhance collaboration and minimize waste;

• Minimizing the Risk of Poor Site Conditions (JM 13), which presents strategies for dealing with unanticipated site conditions that, left unaddressed, could significantly impact productivity and project profitability;

• BIM – What Is It and Is It Right for My Company? (TC 3), which is intended for mechanical contractors considering integrating Building Information Modeling into their operations.

The training manuals were released in advance of MCAA’s 2015 Field Leaders Conference, to be held next week at the Marriott Inner Harbor at Camden Yards, Oct. 14-16.

Billed as “three days away from the job that will transform and elevate…vision, perspective and performance,” the conference is designed to help “field leaders” realize their importance and value as a professional member of a mechanical contractor’s management team “focused on increasing [the] company’s bottom line.”

Attendees will learn how to be an effective people motivator; a proactive planner; a team leader rather than a team member; a skillful communicator, listener and arbiter; and a business- and results-oriented manager focused on growing their company’s profits and brand.
