COVID-19 Task Force Works to Stay in Front
Xcel Mechanical’s Leadership Team continues to meet daily to assess and react as best we can to the constantly evolving COVID-19 pandemic.
On March 11, the World Health Organization declared COVID-19 a global pandemic. On March 12, Xcel Mechanical’s Executive Leadership Team came together to form a COVID-19 Task Force and held its first meeting with office employees and superintendents.
On March 13, President Donald Trump declared COVID-19 a National Emergency. Three business days later, the Task Force rolled-out the company’s first-ever Telework Program. The next day – March 19 – the State of California and L.A. County issued “Shelter in Place” and “Safer at Home” executive orders.
“This remains a fluid situation,” said Kevin Michel, company president. “But we are taking an active role to protect our employees and their families.”
